Daniel Farke is facing mounting pressure at Leeds United after the team's fifth defeat in six Premier League matches. A 2-1 home loss to Aston Villa on Sunday dropped Leeds into the relegation zone, intensifying scrutiny on the German manager's position.
Speculation about Farke's long-term future at Elland Road has persisted since before the season, despite his role in securing promotion from the Championship last season. His Premier League record stands at nine wins, ten draws, and 42 losses from 61 matches, raising doubts about his top-flight credentials.
Among potential replacements, former Leeds assistant Carlos Corberan, currently managing La Liga side Valencia, has been linked. However, Valencia sit 15th, and compensation would be required. Another candidate is Marco Rose, out of work since leaving RB Leipzig in March, though he lacks English football experience.
Brendan Rodgers, available after leaving Celtic in October, offers Premier League experience, having nearly won the title with Liverpool and led Leicester to FA Cup glory. Thiago Motta, also unemployed after a brief stint at Juventus, models his teams on Marcelo Bielsa's style, which could appeal to Leeds fans.
Ange Postecoglou, recently sacked by Nottingham Forest, is another option, though his attacking philosophy may take time to implement. With Leeds desperate to escape relegation, the club's hierarchy faces a crucial decision on Farke's future.
