England captain Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with Arsenal, extending her stay with the club to beyond two decades. The 29-year-old centre-back was due to be out of contract at the end of the season but will continue as a key player for Renee Slegers' team.
A Career at Arsenal
Williamson has been with Arsenal since childhood, achieving significant success including lifting the Women's Champions League last year and being a two-time European champion with England. Her impressive list of accolades also includes the Fifa Women's Champions Cup, the Women's Super League, four League Cups, and two FA Cups.
Injury and Return
Despite her season being affected by injuries following Euro 2025, Williamson recently started the Champions League semi-final first leg against Lyon, playing 65 minutes, as Arsenal pursue a place in the final.
