A sunny afternoon on Brighton's popular seafront turned to tragedy this weekend when a jet skier died after getting into difficulty in the Channel waters.
Emergency services, including the Coastguard, RNLI lifeboats, and Sussex Police, launched a major rescue operation following reports of a person in distress near the iconic Brighton Palace Pier.
