Katie Price has denied claims that her husband Lee Andrews was detained at Dubai airport, following a chaotic interview on Good Morning Britain. The reality star appeared solo on the ITV programme after Andrews 'missed his flight', sparking speculation about a potential travel ban.
Host Susanna Reid revealed that the show's team had contacted the Foreign Office, which responded: 'We supported a British man who was detained in the UAE.' However, Price insisted the detained individual was not her husband, saying she had received a voice note and pictures from Andrews confirming he was at the airport and on his way to the UK.
Price explained that Andrews had missed his flight due to business commitments but was planning to spend several months in the UK, sorting out her visa and international driving licence. She added that he had offered to appear via Zoom if necessary.
There has been ongoing speculation that Andrews is unable to leave Dubai after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend's signature to secure a loan – an accusation he has strongly denied. Price dismissed any concerns, stating that Andrews would not have his phone if he were detained.
Price also clarified that she does not intend to move to Dubai permanently, despite Andrews owning a £36 million home there. 'My family's here,' she said, adding that she would travel between the UK and Dubai.
