Lyndon Arthur Opens Up on New-Found Fame After Going Viral
Lyndon Arthur on Viral Fame: 'People Didn't Know I Boxed'

Lyndon Arthur returns to the ring tonight for one of his toughest challenges yet, but the British brawler has recently made big strides away from the squared-circle. The 35-year-old has built a commendable following online, creating humorous content which tends to generate thousands of views. Under the name 'some1zgot2sayit' - which has over 49,000 followers - the British scrapper has gone viral for sitting in his motor and reacting to clips which do the rounds on Instagram and TikTok.

Most people recognise Lyndon Arthur thanks to his day job. But there are a few who simply know the boxing veteran from his exploits on social media. The fight game is not for the faint-hearted, and usually, when it's time to go to work, many fighters tend to lock in and come across as a rather intimidating figure. But away from the squared-circle, Arthur is just your average Joe. The Brit, like many, enjoys a laugh through the comfort of social media.

Arthur's Return to the Ring

Arthur is set to return to the ring later this evening when he travels to enemy territory to take on Lewis Edmondson in Southampton. But prior to his domestic dust-up on the South Coast, the light-heavyweight sensation opened up on his new-found fame, admitting there were several who didn't realise he boxed for a living.

Speaking Exclusively to Mirror Fighting

Speaking to Mirror Fighting, while donning a 'some1zgot2sayit' shirt, he said: "I've been doing this for years, but just not like kind of... I have did it on my page anyway, like my the Lyndon Arthur page, but then because because I box, and I thought I got a boxing crowd, I don't really want to tread on a few toes in my other page. I say a lot of s*** that probably wouldn't get away with, and I think 'I don't really want to step on toes on the Lyndon Arthur page', because I'm kind of a brand."

"But, someone's got to say it. And just one day, I just started talking in the van, and people was laughing at it, and I thought, 'Oh, I'm going to turn that into something.' And I just started saying someone's got to say it and just saying s*** that I know people think. It just kind of took off, and it's got thousands of followers each day, and so now I just chat s*** on there."

He added: "So many people on on Someone's Got to Say It, that page, didn't know I boxed, didn't know who I was, they just thought I was someone chatting s*** on Instagram. And then when people go on my live TikTok, when I be on there, I just get bored chatting s***, people say, 'Is this Lyndon Arthur? Is this... No way, is this...' and they don't even know, I say, 'No, it's not,'" he laughed.

"I just be on there bantering. It's just a bit of a getaway, it's another thing to do after boxing. So, obviously, this world now, we're living in a internet world, that social media is king in the way we are living and the kids and stuff now. So, you know, it's just a bit of fun, really!"
