Dame Kelly Holmes: A Sporting Icon

By the time of the Athens Olympics in 2004, Kelly Holmes was already a respected veteran of Team GB, having represented her country in competitions worldwide. However, Olympic gold had eluded her until she triumphed in both the 800m and 1500m in thrilling races, watched by millions globally. Her double victory remains one of Team GB's greatest Olympic moments.
