William and Kate Share Family Photo for 15th Wedding Anniversary
William and Kate Mark 15th Anniversary with Family Photo

The Prince and Princess of Wales have marked their 15th wedding anniversary by sharing a previously unseen family photograph taken during their Easter break in Cornwall. The image, captured by photographer Matt Porteous, shows William and Kate lying in the grass with their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—all relaxing barefoot in the sunshine.

A Relaxed Family Moment

In the candid snapshot, the family of five lies shoulder to shoulder on their backs, with Louis resting his legs on Kate. All are dressed in shorts except Kate, who wears a casual outfit. Their black cocker spaniel Orla appears next to William, alongside a brown spaniel—a puppy from Orla’s litter whose name has not yet been revealed. William was previously photographed with the puppies in a birthday post last year.

Celebrating 15 Years

The Kensington Palace social media post accompanying the photo read: “Celebrating 15 years of marriage” followed by a red heart emoji. The couple married in a grand ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, and later shared a balcony kiss at Buckingham Palace.

Overcoming Challenges

The anniversary comes after a difficult period for the Waleses, following Kate’s cancer diagnosis in 2024. She announced last year that she is in remission, and the family made a fresh start by moving to Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park last autumn.

  • Prince George was born in 2013
  • Princess Charlotte arrived in 2015
