George Finch, the 19-year-old Reform UK leader of Warwickshire County Council, is facing a vote of no confidence after allegations he brought the authority into disrepute. The motion, brought by Green Party group leader Jonathan Chilvers, is scheduled for 17 March.
Chilvers accused Finch of abusing his office, attacking staff, and using the role for political point-scoring. He cited Finch's claims last year that police withheld information about the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl as a key reason for the motion.
Finch dismissed the move as a 'political stunt', arguing that opponents have no alternative plan. He became the UK's youngest council leader last year after his predecessor resigned 41 days into the role.
The teenager has faced previous controversies, including calling sixth form a 'complete joke' and risking contempt of court over comments about the rape case. Warwickshire Police denied any cover-up, stating they followed national guidance on not releasing immigration status at charge.
