Reform UK has launched its election manifesto with a bold promise to slash taxes and overhaul Britain's immigration system, positioning itself as the true alternative to the Conservative Party.
Tax Revolution and Economic Overhaul
In what Nigel Farage describes as a "common sense" programme, Reform UK proposes raising the income tax threshold to £20,000, effectively removing seven million people from the tax rolls. The party also aims to abolish inheritance tax for estates under £2 million and lift the higher rate tax threshold to £70,000.
The manifesto takes direct aim at what Farage calls "the net zero nonsense," pledging to scrap all renewable energy subsidies and fast-track North Sea gas and oil licenses. This forms part of their broader economic strategy to boost British industry and reduce regulatory burdens.
Immigration: The Central Battle
Migration policy takes centre stage in Reform's platform, with Farage declaring it "the most important issue this country faces." The party proposes freezing non-essential immigration immediately and leaving the European Convention on Human Rights to facilitate deportations.
Their immigration plan includes:
- Freezing non-essential immigration immediately
 - Leaving the European Convention on Human Rights
 - Implementing a Australian-style points-based system
 - Stopping illegal immigration by turning back small boats

NHS Reform and Pension Protection
The party promises significant NHS reforms, including offering tax relief on private healthcare and insurance. Farage argues this would reduce waiting lists and ease pressure on the public system.
Despite proposing major tax cuts, Reform UK commits to maintaining the triple lock on pensions, ensuring state pensions continue to rise by the highest of inflation, earnings growth, or 2.5%.
Breaking from Conservative Tradition
Farage didn't hold back in his criticism of the Conservative Party, stating they have "completely failed" and that Reform represents the only genuine conservative choice. The manifesto launch comes as Reform UK polls around 16%, positioning them as potential kingmakers in a tight election race.
The party's platform represents the most radical right-wing manifesto in modern British politics, setting clear battle lines on immigration, taxation, and environmental policy that could reshape the political landscape regardless of the election outcome.
