A Reform UK activist in Nigel Farage's constituency has been secretly filmed making racist comments about Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, using Islamophobic language, and suggesting asylum seekers should be shot. The undercover investigation by Channel 4 News also captured a party organiser making homophobic remarks.
Andrew Parker, a canvasser in Clacton, was recorded describing Sunak as a 'f***ing P***' and calling Islam 'a cult'. He also proposed shooting asylum seekers arriving on small boats, saying army recruits should be stationed on beaches with guns for 'target practice'. Parker told the undercover reporter to 'emphasise illegal' when discussing migration with ethnic minority voters.
Separately, George Jones, a longtime activist who organises events for Farage, was filmed calling the Pride flag 'degenerate' and LGBT people 'nonces'. He also suggested police should become 'paramilitaries' and that the party should 'bring back the noose'.
Nigel Farage said he was 'dismayed' by the comments and that those involved would no longer be part of his campaign. Parker apologised, saying his views were personal and not known to the party. The revelations come as Reform dropped another candidate, Raymond Saint, after it emerged he had been a member of the British National Party.
