Vanessa Trump made a rare public appearance on Sunday, over a month after her boyfriend Tiger Woods's latest DUI arrest. The 48-year-old joined her former father-in-law, President Donald Trump, for the final round of the PGA Tour's Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral in Miami.
Family Presence at the Tournament
The signature event, with a $20 million prize purse, marked the PGA Tour's return to the Miami course since 2016. Vanessa was accompanied by her eldest daughter from her marriage to Donald Trump Jr., Kai, an avid golfer who will play for the University of Miami's golf team. Trump's son Eric also attended, sitting beside the president in the hospitality gallery by the 18th green.
President Trump's attendance came after a man was taken into custody by Secret Service agents at a security checkpoint on Saturday. The man was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting without violence after allegedly defying orders and getting physical with an agent.
Vanessa and Tiger Woods Relationship
Vanessa has attended several golf events amid her relationship with Woods, who she began dating around Thanksgiving 2024. They attended the Genesis Invitational in February and TGL matches this year. However, Woods was not present on Sunday, reportedly continuing his recovery after seeking professional help following his March car crash and DUI arrest.
Woods, 50, was detained on March 27 after flipping his SUV while trying to overtake a truck at high speed in Jupiter Island, Florida. He faces charges of driving under the influence, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Police found two hydrocodone pills in his pocket. He pleaded not guilty and is due in court on Tuesday.
Rehab and Support
Woods is believed to have traveled to Zurich, Switzerland for treatment at an exclusive rehab facility. A source told Daily Mail that he is showing encouraging signs after intense treatment for pain management without addictive opioids. Vanessa publicly supported him on Instagram, sharing a loved-up photo with the caption 'Love you'.
This is the fourth time Woods has faced trouble behind the wheel. He was arrested for DUI in 2017, crashed in 2021 shattering his right leg, and crashed into a fire hydrant in 2009 amid affair revelations. Despite passing a breathalyzer in March, officers noted high speed, bloodshot eyes, and dilated pupils.
