MAGA influencer Rogan O'Handley, known as DC Draino, has said he will not assist the Trump administration in releasing files related to unidentified aerial phenomena, citing his disappointing experience with the Epstein files release. O'Handley was one of 15 right-wing influencers invited to the White House in February 2025, where then-Attorney General Pam Bondi handed them binders labelled 'The Epstein Files: Phase 1'. The binders, however, contained only previously public information, sparking backlash.
In a post on X to his 2.3 million followers on Wednesday, O'Handley wrote: 'Happy to report that I will *not* be helping release the UFO Files.' He added: 'If someone tries to hand me a binder, I will let it fall to the ground.' When a commenter noted he had learned his lesson, he replied: 'To say the least lol.'
President Donald Trump signed an executive order in February directing federal agencies to release records on unidentified aerial phenomena and extraterrestrial life. FBI Director Kash Patel said this week that documents would be disclosed 'very soon', though none have been made public yet.
The Epstein files saga began when Bondi handed influencers binders that turned out to contain no new information. The Department of Justice later said it would make no further disclosures, but after Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in November, millions of documents were released, many heavily redacted. Then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced in January that the DOJ had finished publishing its Epstein files, though some lawmakers, including Rep. Ro Khanna, have complained that records are still being withheld.
Bondi, who was fired as Attorney General in April, is set to testify before the House Oversight Committee next month about her role in the Epstein file release. A YouGov survey in February found that 53 percent of Americans believe Trump is trying to cover up Epstein's crimes.
