LeAnn Rimes Postpones US Concerts Due to Severe Illness

LeAnn Rimes has expressed her devastation after being forced to postpone two concerts in the United States this week due to what she describes as a “severe illness.” The singer, who also serves as a coach on The Voice UK, had to reschedule performances originally planned for Spokane and Seattle. The new dates are set for 31 May and 2 June respectively, offering fans a revised schedule just weeks later.

Announcement on Social Media

Rimes took to her Instagram Story to share the disappointing news with her followers. “Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel and perform this week,” she wrote. “I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled … also, good news as we will be seeing you very soon…” She added, “I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness, and continued support as I recover. I look forward to being back on stage and seeing you very soon. Love, LeAnn.”

Ticket Information

The American singer confirmed that all tickets purchased for the original dates remain valid for the rescheduled performances. For those unable to attend on the new dates, refunds will be available. This ensures that fans have flexibility during this unexpected change.

Career Highlights

Rimes has enjoyed significant success in the UK, with four top 10 singles, including the number one hit “Can’t Fight The Moonlight.” She has also notched two top 10 albums in the British charts. Her talent has been recognised globally, earning two Grammy Awards at the age of 14 for Best New Artist and Best Country Female Vocal Performance. At the time, she became the youngest artist ever to win a Grammy.

Personal Life and Health Struggles

Rimes is married to American actor Eddie Cibrian. She is also known for hits such as “How Do I Live,” “Blue,” and “Written In The Stars,” a collaboration with Sir Elton John. In an interview with Us Weekly in October 2025, the singer opened up about her ongoing health battles, which include anxiety, depression, and psoriasis. “I remember when I posted the picture of me with psoriasis all over me [in 2020], and it was such a moment of relief because I had been hiding that for so long,” she recalled. “The same with my mental health and now with perimenopause. Every time I talk about it, I set myself — and someone else — free.”
