Gallagher Brothers Reunite at Wembley with Brother Paul Amid Legal Issues
Gallagher Brothers Reunite at Wembley with Brother Paul

Liam and Noel Gallagher appeared closer than ever as they were joined by their brother Paul to watch Manchester City play at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. The brothers' famously turbulent relationship led to Oasis splitting 15 years ago, following a series of backstage bust-ups, walkouts and booze-fuelled arguments. However, last year they reunited for an epic 41-date world tour, which kicked off with a huge show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in front of more than 70,000 fans.

Family Day Out at the Football

This weekend, Noel and Liam enjoyed a day out together - and even shared a hug - as they watched Manchester City win the Emirates FA Cup semi-final match. Among those who joined the pair were Liam's son Gene, 24, and Noel's sons Donovan, 18, and Sonny, 15. The brothers were also joined for the day by their older brother Paul, who pleaded not guilty to rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three of intentional strangulation, two of making a threat to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm last year.

Paul Gallagher's Legal Troubles

The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2022 and 2024 and relate to one woman. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police previously said: 'Paul Gallagher, 59, of East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022-2024. The charges follow an investigation that commenced in 2024. A woman is being supported by specially trained officers.' Paul lives in a flat that Noel bought in 2004 and has worked as a DJ and photographer. He has previously described himself as living a normal life 'amongst the lower middle classes'. Paul added that he tries to avoid public attention, preferring to stay 'invisible'. Paul grew up with brothers Liam and Noel in Burnage, Manchester, but he has never been involved with Oasis. Oasis were contacted for comment at the time.

Rebuilding the Relationship

Saturday was not the first time Noel and Liam have headed to watch the football together recently. As they continue to rebuild their relationship, the pair headed to Wembley Stadium in London to watch Manchester City secure a 2–0 victory over Arsenal last month. Spotted in a private box among the crowds, the brothers could be seen cheering as they watched their team conquer the Gunners. Noel also recently praised his brother Liam while he accepted the Songwriter of the Year gong at the 2026 BRIT Awards. The Oasis rocker, 58, was honoured at the annual ceremony at the Co-op Live arena. Despite their famously turbulent relationship following the split of Oasis in 2009, Noel publicly acknowledged Liam, 53, and his role in their shared musical legacy. Noel bluntly said: 'Yes, Manchester! I'm gonna start by saying I've got to thank my brother. And Bonehead, Guigsy and Andy and Gem. Without them I'd just be a singer-songwriter and nobody gives a s*** about singer-songwriters.' The High Flying Birds frontman was introduced by Pep Guardiola - the manager of his beloved football team Manchester City - and he issued a rallying cry for City that divided the crowd at the Co-Op Live Arena. Noel added: 'Up the f****** blues.'
