David Beckham has shared that he feels 'very blessed to have been spoiled by his family' on his 51st birthday, despite his eldest son Brooklyn skipping the celebrations once again.
Throwback Snap and Heartfelt Message
To mark the occasion, the football legend posted a nostalgic throwback photo from his high school years on social media. He wrote: 'I feel very lucky & blessed to have had a very special day today being spoilt by my wife, kids, family and friends from the moment I opened my eyes till now and I just want to say thank you and I love you all so much & my beautiful family thank you.'
Brooklyn's Silence Amid Siblings' Tributes
While Brooklyn, 27, remained silent on his father's birthday, his siblings rushed to social media to express their love. Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14, all posted heartfelt messages. Romeo shared childhood photos, calling his dad 'my best mate'; Cruz posted a yacht snap with 'Happy birthday I love you'; and Harper wrote that David is 'the best daddy in the whole world'.
This comes after Brooklyn announced in January his disassociation from 'Brand Beckham', claiming his family is 'performative'. He and his wife Nicola Peltz have reportedly not spoken to David and Victoria since last May, when they snubbed the former footballer's 50th birthday.
Surprise Gift: Chickens from Victoria and Kids
In an apparent nod to the family rift, David's wife Victoria, 52, and their other children surprised him with an unusual gift: chickens. Victoria shared a video on Instagram showing David in a cowboy hat, settling the birds into a coop on their £15 million Cotswolds estate. She captioned it: 'Happy Birthday, we love you so much!!'
David had previously received chickens as a Christmas present from Victoria, and they now have a hen pen on their property.
Victoria Addresses Family Feud
Victoria recently spoke publicly about the estrangement for the first time, saying: 'We love our children so much. We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be... all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.' She added that negative press hasn't affected her business, noting that customers buy her products for their quality, not just her name.
Brooklyn and Nicola's lawyers previously demanded that the Beckhams communicate only through legal representatives, and Brooklyn blocked his parents on Instagram before posting a bombshell letter accusing them of control and interference in his marriage.
