Coronation Street Star Hints at Multiple Deaths and Bloody Injuries

Coronation Street actress Beth Nixon, who portrays Megan Walsh, has suggested that more than one character could be killed off this week, with plenty of bloodshed and injuries expected. The ITV soap is currently airing a dramatic murder week, and Nixon has teased that viewers should brace for a rollercoaster of twists and turns.

Multiple Injuries and Potential Victims

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Nixon revealed: 'There is gonna be loads more twists and turns. It's a rollercoaster. There's lots of injuries during murder week, lots of blood and what's so great is all the victims have got so many potential ways they could die. And there's so many people who might want them dead so it's trying to guess and tally up who has the most reason to be killed.'

This follows comments from Carl Webster actor Jonathan Howard, who hinted that it might not be just one villain who is killed off. The mystery surrounding Megan's bloodied nose is also set to be resolved, adding to the suspense.

Beth Nixon on Her Troubling Storyline

Nixon confessed that playing the child groomer has been challenging but praised the support from cast and crew. She said: 'Being part of the five villains arc is brilliant because it makes you feel involved. I think when you're filming it, you don't realise how much you are actually onscreen. Then when you watch it back you go oh wow, this is a big storyline. I always try to play it down in my head to make myself feel more comfortable or safe, for whatever reason. Then I think actually, it is a pretty big storyline.'

Megan was recently exposed for sexually abusing her teenage student Will Driscoll, played by Lucas William Hodgson-Wale, and fell pregnant with his child before having an abortion. Nixon discussed how she and her younger co-star handle the difficult scenes: 'There's a barrier of the level of intimacy me and Lucas have with each other. He is younger so we don't want to put either of us in an uncomfortable position. We've never kissed or anything like that. I don't wanna say it's not been hard but it's been made easy by everyone else. Lucas takes everything in his stride. He's really chill, really mature and he's great to work with. I don't think I've spoken to an 18 year old since I was that age. That's hard because you can't really comprehend why someone would want to be with someone they have so little in common with. That's probably the hardest part.'

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
