Coronation Street: Megan Walsh Faces Justice but May Evade Conviction

Coronation Street has confirmed that a comeuppance is on the way for predator Megan Walsh, as her abuse victim Will Driscoll reports her to the police in upcoming scenes. However, spoilers tease that justice may not be served in the way viewers expect.

Will Driscoll Faces the Truth

Will Driscoll, who has been groomed by Megan, initially believes they are in love and denies that she manipulated and abused him. But the scales will soon fall from his eyes, leading to Megan's downfall. Corrie boss Kate Brooks told The Mirror that Tim will be instrumental in helping Will realise what has happened and how wrong it was.

Retribution Through Proper Channels

Kate Brooks promised that Megan will face retribution through "the proper channels," hinting at a legal process. However, she added, "Whether it goes to plan or not, I cannot say, but it goes down quite a very big path." Cast members have been pictured filming court scenes, suggesting a trial is imminent.

Brooks also warned of dark moments ahead, saying, "Will will be quite badly affected by what he's been through with Megan. It does go a bit dark as well."

Actress Beth Nixon on Megan's Unredeemable Nature

Beth Nixon, who plays Megan, confessed that her character cannot be redeemed and understood the public's call for punishment. She said, "Megan is unredeemable. There's no justification because it's unjustifiable, isn't it, really?" Nixon added that while viewers hate Megan, the storytelling has left her motives ambiguous, which has been interesting for the audience.

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
