Justin Baldoni has spoken publicly for the first time about his legal dispute with Blake Lively, describing the experience as one of 'injustice and pain'. The 'It Ends With Us' director and his wife, Emily, shared a five-minute video on Instagram detailing the 'traumatic' year-long battle.
In the video, Baldoni said the couple had remained silent for nearly two years because it 'didn't feel like the right time' to speak. He emphasised the importance of friends, family and faith, stating: 'Gratitude has saved us.'
The legal fight ended on 4 May when both parties agreed to settle Lively's lawsuit for breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting in retaliation. The settlement avoided a trial. Lively later filed for more than $8m in legal fees, which Baldoni has until 13 July to challenge or pay.
Emily Baldoni described the ordeal as 'traumatic' for their family, adding: 'There is so much more to say. That time will come, but for now, we are going to focus on continuing the healing.' Justin thanked supporters who 'were our voice' when they could not speak out.
