Amanda Bynes Shows Off Purple Brows and Slimmer Frame in LA Outing
Amanda Bynes Debuts Purple Brows and Weight Loss in LA

Amanda Bynes turned heads as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Tuesday, confidently showing off her latest bold look. The 40-year-old actress put her dramatic eyebrow overhaul on full display, rocking vivid purple arches, while also revealing her noticeably slimmer frame after her admitted Ozempic weight loss.

Keeping things casual in a colorful graphic T-shirt and faded jeans, Bynes paired the eye-catching brows with freshly dyed blonde hair, a departure from her recent darker style. She was joined by boyfriend Zachary Khan, and the pair offered a rare glimpse of public affection as they held hands crossing the street after a laid-back lunch date.

Going strong since late 2025, the couple looked in sync, with her Hollywood event planner partner opting for a sharp all-black look. The sighting comes after Bynes revealed on social media that she had dropped nearly 30 pounds using Ozempic, later prompting experts to suggest her transformation could total around 40 pounds.

In December, Bynes gave fans a candid update on her transformation, revealing on Instagram that she once weighed 180lbs but had lost 28lbs on Ozempic. Functional nutritionist Monica Partier told the Daily Mail the actress now appears even slimmer in recent outings, estimating she may have shed closer to 40lbs and is now around 140lbs.

‘Amanda keeps losing weight week after week, it's very obvious,’ stated Partier. ‘Whatever she is taking is working well for her. She must be at her weight goal by now as she seems to be rather thin,’ she added.

Bynes first revealed last June that she had decided to begin using Ozempic. At the time, she told fans she was ‘so excited’ about the change and said she hoped ‘to get down to like 130, which would be awesome so I look better in paparazzi pictures.’ By November, she updated followers again, sharing: ‘I've lost 20 pounds so far. I'm so excited about that, to be honest. Also, I want to lose about 50 more pounds.’

Speaking via Instagram Stories, she detailed her fluctuating weight, explaining she was ‘163 now,’ and added that she had ‘actually shot up on the Ozempic pill, shot up to 180 from 173. So I was able to lose twenty pounds from 180 and now I'm down to 163 on the Ozempic injection.’ She said the medication was ‘working’ and admitted she was ‘trying to lose more weight just to feel skinny and cute.’

The actress had previously spoken about her weight gain in 2024, attributing it to depression and revealing she ultimately wanted to return to her teenage weight of 110lbs. In recent years, she has also undergone several cosmetic procedures, including lip fillers last August, and in 2023 confirmed she had excess skin removed from her eyelids. She described the eyelid surgery, a blepharoplasty, as ‘one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence.’

Bynes rose to fame as a child star in the mid-1990s, breaking out on Nickelodeon’s sketch series All That from 1996 to 2000, which led to her own hit spin-off The Amanda Show (1999–2002). She later transitioned into scripted comedy and teen films, appearing in What I Like About You as well as movies including Hairspray, Big Fat Liar and Easy A.

However, her career was overshadowed in the early 2010s by a widely publicized personal decline involving erratic behavior, legal troubles and reported substance issues, particularly around Adderall. Her difficulties escalated in 2012 when she was arrested in West Hollywood for driving under the influence after her BMW struck a police car. She later announced a premature retirement from acting as she struggled with her mental health and public scrutiny.

A series of social media outbursts and further legal incidents followed, leading to her being placed under a conservatorship by her parents in 2013 to manage her personal and legal affairs. The arrangement was eventually ended in 2022 after she had focused on recovery.

Last year, Bynes took to Instagram to reveal she was launching an OnlyFans account, surprising many fans with the move. Explaining her decision to join the subscription platform, which is widely known for adult content but also used by a range of creators, the star clarified her intentions straight away, saying: ‘Disclaimer: I'm doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through DMs. I won't be posting any sleazy content.’
