Ukraine Hits Russian Oil Terminal in Tuapse Again

Ukrainian forces struck an oil terminal in the Russian Black Sea city of Tuapse on Friday, Ukraine's General Staff announced, marking the fourth attack targeting the region's oil infrastructure in just over two weeks.

Details of the Strike

Explosions and a fire were recorded at the local oil infrastructure, according to the General Staff statement. Russian local officials reported that a Ukrainian drone attack sparked the blaze, with no casualties reported. The facility had previously been hit on April 16, April 20, and April 28.

Regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev stated that a fire at the city's oil refinery had been extinguished on Thursday, less than 24 hours before the latest strike.

Russian Attacks on Ukraine

Meanwhile, Russian attacks continued to target Ukraine. On Friday, Russia launched over 50 drones on the western Ukrainian city of Ternopil, according to Mayor Serhii Nadal. Hits were recorded at industrial facilities and infrastructure, wounding at least 10 people. Some neighborhoods remain without electricity due to the mass attack.

In Odesa, two multi-story residential buildings and port infrastructure were damaged after another overnight drone attack on the southern region, local authorities said. An apartment in a 16-story building was destroyed, and the roof caught fire. In another high-rise, a fire engulfed the 12th floor, according to Ukraine's Emergency Service.

Zelenskyy's Statement

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on Telegram that at least five people were wounded in the region. Damage from overnight attacks was also recorded in the central city of Kryvyi Rih and the northeastern Kharkiv region, where railway infrastructure was hit. "Russia continues to attack our energy infrastructure, critical infrastructure, and civilian objects. Tonight, there were 210 drone strikes, and about 140 of them were 'Shahed' drones," Zelenskyy wrote.
