England will begin their bid for World Cup glory tonight - but do you think they should have to sing the national anthem before kick-off?
Thomas Tuchel has said he is not ready to sing England's national anthem as he prepares to lead the nation into this summer's World Cup. But do you think all the players should have to sing along to God Save the King?
England will launch their highly-anticipated World Cup campaign against Croatia this evening, representing Mr Tuchel's first match at a major tournament. The German coach's love for his adopted homeland has been clear since he became manager in January 2025, but he does not feel like he has yet earned the right to sing the national anthem.
"I think we are not there yet," he said in an interview ahead of kick-off today. "At the very end maybe. I am still a bit shy. I don't want to offend people and don't want to have the focus on that now."
God Save the King will be played as part of the pre-match ceremony tonight, with England's players expected to sing it, as they routinely do before international matches.

Despite his reluctance to join his players in the expression of patriotism, Mr Tuchel said he now considers England home, and has done since becoming Chelsea boss in 2021.
"I would now say 'I fly home', I fly home to my home in London and it feels like home when I land," he added. "I can't explain it but it felt like this from the first few weeks at Chelsea. It just felt so good to be in the country and in the city of course, and be a part of the Premier League. It was so easy for me to adapt, that's why I cannot say often enough, I'm grateful, and it's an honour for me to be England head coach and no one wants it more than me."
England will begin their bid for World Cup glory in a match against Croatia at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium at 9pm tonight.
