Zayn Malik in New York After Drew Barrymore Show

Zayn Malik presented a relaxed and casual image as he was seen leaving the studios in New York on Monday, following his recent guest appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. The 33-year-old singer showcased his distinctive style, wearing a brown and green top paired with black trousers and a custom 'Drew' cap from the show. He also displayed his extensive collection of tattoos on his neck and arms, accessorising with a sleek silver chain.

Promoting New Music and Tour

During his appearance on the popular television programme, Zayn undoubtedly discussed his latest musical projects in detail. Last month, he officially announced his fifth studio album, titled KONNAKOL, which is scheduled for release on April 17. Additionally, he thrilled his global fanbase by revealing an extensive 31-date worldwide tour, marking a significant milestone in his career. This tour represents a courageous step forward for Zayn, who had previously cancelled live performances due to struggles with extreme anxiety.

Tour Itinerary Details

The highly anticipated tour will commence on May 12, 2026, at the AO Arena in Manchester. Zayn will then perform in Glasgow and Birmingham before concluding his European leg with a show at London's iconic The O2 arena on Saturday, May 23, just ahead of the UK Spring Bank Holiday. Following these dates, the tour will continue across the Atlantic, with performances in major cities including Los Angeles, Mexico City, and São Paulo. The final concert is set for Friday, November 20, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

Reflections on Past Relationships

Last month, Zayn generated considerable media attention when he openly discussed his past relationship with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid. He admitted that he does not believe he was ever truly 'in love' with the model, though he emphasised that he will 'always' care for her deeply due to their shared connection as parents. The couple dated intermittently for six years and welcomed their daughter, Khai, now five years old, in 2020, before separating the following year.

Clarifying His Feelings

Despite their lengthy romance, Zayn surprised many fans during a 2024 interview on the Zach Sang Show by confessing that he had never experienced genuine romantic love. He further elaborated on this sentiment in February during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, stating that while he believed he was in love at the time, his perspective has evolved with age. Reflecting on his relationship with the Victoria's Secret angel, Zayn explained, 'My understanding of love is always developing. At that moment in time, I might have thought it was love, but as I've got older, I've realized maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was lust. Maybe it was this. Maybe it was that. I don't feel like it was love.'

However, Zayn was quick to clarify that his feelings for Gigi remain profoundly respectful and affectionate, albeit not romantic. He insisted, 'To be fair, just to have this on the record, I will always love G, because she is the reason my child is on this Earth and I have the utmost respect for her. I will always love her, but I don't know if I was in love with her. I do love her a crazy amount, but no, I don't think I was in love with her at that point. Otherwise I would have been a better version of myself.'

Future Relationship Preferences

The Die For Me singer also revealed that he is no longer interested in pursuing public relationships, having learned from past experiences that they are incompatible with his personality. Zayn, who was previously engaged to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards from 2012 to 2015, acknowledged that he often encountered difficulties in relationships during his younger years. He stated, 'I'm not looking for a public relationship again, and just out of experience, no offence to anybody that I have been in public relationships with before. I've just learned from it that it don't work for me. I'm quite a private person. I don't really strive for people's approval or attention. So the relationship should really be between me and that person. And I think that personality type, somebody who doesn't want to do that, would be more suited to me.'
