Trump's Portrait to Appear on US Passports in Radical Redesign
Trump's Portrait to Appear on US Passports

President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to include his image on a redesigned US passport, featuring a portrait from his second inaugural. The State Department is finalising this 'radical redesign' as part of plans to commemorate the United States’ 250th anniversary, with issuance expected this summer.

Official Confirmation

A State Department official confirmed that passports featuring the President's face will be the default from the Washington Passport Agency for in-person renewals. This move follows previous instances of the President adding his image to National Parks passes and his name to the Kennedy Center and the US Institute of Peace.

Other Initiatives

Other initiatives include plans for a $1 gold coin and commemorative 24-karat gold coin bearing his image, and his signature on American paper currency. The redesign is part of broader efforts to mark the nation's 250th anniversary.
