Meghan Markle's Floral Tutorial Promotes £191 Luxury Tea Box
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has released a new video showcasing her flower-arranging expertise while promoting a premium tea box from her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The 44-year-old royal appeared barefoot in the clip posted on the brand's Instagram page, offering a tablescaping tutorial to her followers.
Luxury Details and Demonstration
Meghan wore a monochrome cream ensemble consisting of a sweater and cropped trousers, accessorised with a nearly £13,000 Cartier Juste un Clou necklace and Princess Diana's iconic Tank Francaise watch. In the video, she explained her approach to dinner table decoration, emphasising her preference for multiple vases of varying shapes and sizes arranged low to facilitate conversation.
'I like them low,' she stated, adding, 'Do an entire tablescape, so you can see everybody as you're talking to them during dinner and still have that beautiful arrangement.' Meghan demonstrated by plucking leaves from a gardenia stem, reassuring viewers, 'It looks complicated, but trust me, you can do it.'
Product Launch and Collaboration
The video included a link to purchase As Ever's limited edition Garden Tea Bloom Box, retailing for $255 (approximately £191). This product marks Meghan's first launch since As Ever ended its partnership with Netflix. The box was created in collaboration with High Camp Supply, a luxury floral delivery and gifting brand known for supplying gardenias and peonies at prices ranging from hundreds to over a thousand dollars.
The Garden Tea Bloom Box contains long stem and loose flowers suitable for floating arrangements, along with As Ever's Herbal Peppermint Tea and Sage Honey with Honeycomb. Additional posts featured Meghan arranging gardenias in a wicker basket, with her beagle Mia visible in the background.
Family Involvement and Personal Touches
Meghan announced the collaboration by sharing a tender photograph of her four-year-old daughter, Lilibet, holding a white flower while Meghan's hand wrapped around hers. The caption read: 'Something is blooming. A new collaboration with @highcampgardenias arrives tomorrow.' Lilibet also appeared in a video, running up to Meghan with her long red hair and whispering in her ear, prompting Meghan to reply, 'Yes, I think you can. Let's go!' as they dashed off camera.
Further images showed Meghan assisting Lilibet in pouring water into a vase and the toddler hiding under a table. Although six-year-old Archie did not appear visually, Meghan was heard asking him, 'are you having fun, my love?' during the clip.
Brand Background and Industry Context
High Camp Supply, founded by Susan Hanson in 2014, specialises in custom floral arrangements and ships Californian-grown gardenias directly to customers. The brand is popular among celebrities and has been featured in publications such as Vanity Fair, with arrangements priced from around $200 to $1,150.
This launch occurs amidst rumours that the Sussexes are developing a Rivals-style drama for Netflix, focusing on two warring families in the polo world. Described as Harry's new 'passion project', the untitled show aims to broaden the perception of polo beyond elitist circles. However, recent reports from Variety suggest Netflix may be distancing itself from the couple, citing exhaustion with their repetitive narratives about royal life.
The proposed drama, set in Wellington, Florida, has drawn comparisons to Jilly Cooper's 'bonkbuster' Rivals and raised eyebrows among royal observers due to its themes of family tension, echoing the strained relationship between the Sussexes and the Windsor family. Netflix has been approached for comment regarding whether this project falls under the couple's revised 'first look' deal.
