Luba Mushtuk has announced her departure from Strictly Come Dancing after a decade on the BBC show. The professional dancer, 36, shared the news on Instagram on Friday, saying it was 'time to follow my dreams'.
Mushtuk joined the hit dance programme in 2016. Her exit follows recent departures of fellow professionals Karen Hauer and Nadiya Bychkova, amid reports of a 'cull' ahead of the 2026 series.
In a black-and-white Instagram post, Mushtuk wrote: 'With a heart full of gratitude, the time has come for me to step away from Strictly Come Dancing. I am deeply grateful for the past 10 years on this beautiful show! Now it’s time for me to follow my dreams beyond the show.'
The BBC confirmed her departure, praising her as a 'valued member of the team' who brought 'professionalism, creativity, and quality expertise'. The broadcaster added: 'Luba has been, and always will be, a much-loved member of the Strictly family.'
Mushtuk will appear on the upcoming Pro Tour for one last time before moving on to new ventures.
