Yungblud Pulls Out of Festival After Emotional Breakdown

Yungblud has pulled out of the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary, Canada, just days after an emotional breakdown on stage at his own Bludfest festival in Czechia. The 28-year-old musician, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, cited the need to prioritize his mental health and face his struggles 'head on.'

Festival Withdrawal and Apology

In a statement shared on social media, Yungblud apologized to fans in Canada, saying: 'To all my family in Canada I apologise for not being there with you all this weekend - I'm currently in a place where I'm working on myself and taking time off at home in the UK.' He added: 'I'm taking this extremely seriously and facing head on what's going on for the good of the long term. I will never take any of this for granted and I will see you all soon. I love you all.'

His management team confirmed the decision, stating: 'Reluctantly we have made the decision as a team to pull YUNGBLUD from the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary this Sunday. We are sorry for any disappointment this may cause, these are not decisions we take lightly. All other scheduled shows will go ahead as planned.'

Festival Organizers and Fan Support

The festival organizers expressed their support, writing: 'Our thoughts are with Dom (YUNGBLUD). We are sending him all our love and support, and wish him nothing but the very best during this time. We want him to know and feel the true love he has here in Canada.'

Fans quickly responded with well-wishes. One commented: 'Dom, hope you'll get the rest you needed. I'm grateful that you take care of yourself. Love you so much!' Another wrote: 'Please take care of yourself eat rest and come back stronger baby. Sad but love you more.'

Emotional Breakdown at Bludfest

The decision comes after a viral clip showed Yungblud breaking down in tears during his set at Bludfest in Czechia. He later revealed that 20 minutes after the show, he let go of exhaustion and the pressure of being labeled an 'industry plant.' He told the crowd: 'Lately, I have felt so disconnected from everything. I have been trying my best to wake up every day. I have felt in pain a lot and I don't know why for a long time. But every time I find your faces, every time I find your eyes, every time I look at you, I know that I belong somewhere.'

He continued: 'And to feel safe from the outside world is something that I can never thank you enough for. And all I wanna say is that this is for your family. If you are ever scared, if you are ever frightened, if you are ever threatened, we will be there. I will f***ing be there for you.'

Past Struggles and Openness

Yungblud has been open about his mental health challenges. In March, he told the Mirror about his well-documented issues with life in the spotlight as a young artist. He said: 'It's taken me 10 years to figure out who I am...including six years of the label and the press ripping me to shreds. It impacted me a lot - I had issues with alcohol and food. Dark relationships.'
