Iran's ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has alleged that recent US military strikes targeted the Natanz nuclear facility during an emergency meeting. This accusation comes as tensions escalate in the region, with reports of loud explosions heard across several Gulf cities, including Jerusalem, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, marking the third day of ongoing conflict.
IAEA Chief Contradicts Iranian Claims
In response to these allegations, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi stated that there is no indication of damage to any Iranian nuclear installations. Grossi emphasized that efforts to contact Iranian nuclear regulatory authorities have so far received no response, raising questions about the transparency and accuracy of the Iranian claims.
Regional Conflict Intensifies
The situation has been further complicated by statements from top Iranian security official Ali Larijani, who vowed on social media platform X that Iran will not negotiate with the United States. This declaration underscores the deepening rift between the two nations, as the conflict shows no signs of abating.
As the crisis unfolds, international observers are closely monitoring developments, with concerns growing over the potential for further escalation and its implications for global security and stability in the Middle East.
