Louis Theroux has clashed with 'manosphere' influencer Amrou Fudl, known online as Myron Gaines, during filming for a new Netflix documentary. The 55-year-old documentarian confronted Fudl over his stated desire to have multiple wives, a conversation that took place in front of Fudl's girlfriend of two years, Angie.
In the documentary, Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere, Theroux visited Fudl's podcast studio to discuss his controversial views. Fudl, 36, who hosts the 'Fit and Fresh' podcast, explained his concept of 'one-way monogamy' – where he is free to sleep with other women while his girlfriend remains faithful. 'I do what the f**k I want to do, she's loyal to me, it's monogamous on her end and open on my end,' Fudl said.
When Theroux asked if Fudl had 'a rotation of other women', Fudl replied that he wanted 'multiple wives' but was currently focused on building his career. Theroux then invited Angie to join the conversation. She expressed love for Fudl but appeared uncertain when asked about his polygamy plans, saying: 'I don't know how that will work.'
Theroux pressed Fudl on the issue, calling his response 'avoidant' when Fudl said they would 'cross that bridge when we get there'. The influencer later suggested his girlfriend might change her mind, or that he might decide to stay with one woman. Theroux observed that he saw 'pain' in Angie's eyes during the exchange.
The documentary explores the rise of the 'manosphere', a movement of extremist influencers targeting young men with misogynistic and other hateful views online. Fudl's podcast has hosted figures like Andrew Tate, and his content reaches millions on platforms including Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
