Global music sensation Harry Styles has opened up about the profound sense of loneliness he experienced when first performing without his former bandmates from One Direction. In a revealing new interview with The Sunday Times, the 32-year-old singer described feeling "very alone" on stage following the group's indefinite hiatus in 2016.
The Emotional Toll of Going Solo
Styles, who rose to fame as part of one of history's most successful boybands alongside Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne, admitted that stepping onto the stage without his bandmates was initially disorienting. "The first couple of times on stage [without One Direction], I'd think, 'What do I do with my hands?' But I also felt very alone all of a sudden," he confessed.
The singer explained that while he was deeply grateful for the opportunity to pursue a solo career and for the public's interest in his creative output, he placed immense pressure on himself to deliver perfection. Styles' reflections on his career journey come amid significant controversy surrounding ticket prices for his upcoming global residency tour, titled "Together Together." The singer recently announced a one-off show at Manchester's Co-Op Arena on March 6 to celebrate the release of his new album "KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY," with tickets priced at just £20.
However, this affordable offering stands in stark contrast to the pricing structure for his broader tour, which has sparked outrage among fans. The Together Together tour, scheduled to run from May through December 2026 across seven cities including Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York City, Melbourne, and Sydney, features ticket prices that have drawn sharp criticism.

For the London leg of the tour, seat prices range from £44 to £466.24, while standing tickets cost between £144 and £279. VIP packages escalate to an eye-watering £468.85 to £725. In Amsterdam, tickets span from €74.05 to €828.62, while New York shows range from $50 to $1,182.40 for standard tickets, with VIP packages reportedly reaching $1,667.
These figures represent a substantial increase compared to Styles' previous tours. His 2022 residency at Madison Square Garden ranged from $39.50 to $199.50, while his sold-out Wembley Stadium shows in 2022 started at just £45 and peaked at £99.
Social Media Outcry
The pricing strategy has triggered a furious response on social media platform X, with fans branding Styles as "greedy" and "out of touch." Many have expressed disappointment that the costs make his music "inaccessible" to a significant portion of his young fanbase.

For his tour, Styles is offering three VIP packages. The premium "Together Package" costs £725.45 in London and includes a general admission floor ticket, early entry, VIP lounge access with light appetizers and a drink token, exclusive merchandise, a photo opportunity, and concierge service. The mid-tier "KISS Package" is priced at £468.45, while the entry-level "DISCO Package" costs £333.45, with each offering progressively fewer amenities.
The singer's representatives have been contacted for comment regarding the pricing controversy, but no response has been made public at this time.
