Gogglebox Star Explains Absence, Fans Rally Round

Gogglebox Star Missing from Latest Episode as Brothers Reveal Reason

The popular Channel 4 show Gogglebox returned to screens on Friday evening, February 13, featuring familiar faces like Pete and Sophie Sandiford and Ellie and Izzi Warner sharing their thoughts on television highlights. However, one notable cast member was absent, prompting an explanation from his family.

Plummer Brothers Appear Without Twaine

The Plummer brothers, Tremaine, Twaine, and Tristan, who joined the programme in 2016, were back on the sofa, but only Tremaine and Tristan appeared in the episode. On Instagram before the show aired, the brothers posted a clip explaining Twaine's absence. In the video, they said, "It's just the two T's today as Twaine left us to go on holiday. So we've got a new member of the team now," before introducing their dog as a temporary replacement.

The post was captioned, "Meet the new member of the team... @trissy101 @trem_vi Brand new #Gogglebox tonight at 9pm on @channel4." This lighthearted announcement quickly garnered attention from fans.

Fans Rally with Supportive Messages

Fans flooded the comments section with messages of support. Twaine himself replied, writing, "Wish I was there," accompanied by sad face emojis. Other comments included:

  • "Enjoy the holiday you are missed tonight."
  • "Happy Friday looking forward to watching you tonight. Hope he's gone somewhere that's sunny and dry."
  • "He's another good-looking Plummer I'm glad you're back with us we don't see enough of you guys."

The Plummer brothers, who live in Bristol, have been fan favourites since their debut 10 years ago, known for their witty banter and comical takes on television. Away from the show, Tremaine presents a breakfast radio show on Bristol's Ujima FM, while Tristan and Twaine have both pursued professional football careers since 2007.
