Vital Undersea Networks at Risk
The operation focused on protecting an extensive undersea network of cables and pipelines that are crucial to the UK's functioning. These infrastructures carry approximately 99% of international telecommunications and data traffic, as well as half of the gas supply used to heat British homes. Despite the heightened surveillance, authorities have confirmed there is no evidence of any damage inflicted on these vital assets during the monitoring period.
