Katie Price has spoken out over repeated concerns about her weight, sharing a photo of herself on the scales with fans on Instagram. The 47-year-old former glamour model, who married Lee Andrews earlier this year, has faced public scrutiny over her slim figure, prompting her to seek medical advice.
Scale Snapshot
In a new picture posted on her husband's Instagram story, Price's feet could be seen stepping onto the scales. The accompanying caption read: '7 stone 12 pounds I've put on weight. Everyone mentioning my weight here you go I'm healthy.' This comes after she was inundated with messages from concerned fans at the beginning of the year, with some fearing she was unwell.
Addressing Concerns
Price previously addressed the reaction on her podcast, telling her sister Sophie Price: 'I know I look gaunt, I look like I'm ill - hence why I'm going to the doctors tomorrow. I don't know how many times I have to say to people, 'Yes I know I've lost weight and there's obviously a reason'.' She added that she was undergoing tests to determine the cause of her weight loss.
In March, Price confirmed during an appearance on Good Morning Britain that she had visited her doctor and undergone blood tests. She stated: 'I am lacking in iron, they are now checking the other bit. And I am going through premenopause at the moment as well. I am healthy, so nobody worry about me.' When host Susanna Reid asked if she was healthy and happy, Price replied: 'Yes, very happy.'
Public Reaction
Price's weight has been a topic of discussion among fans and celebrities alike. Susanna Reid expressed her concern on GMB, saying: 'Can I ask, because I am concerned about your weight. You are very, very, very, skinny.' Price acknowledged her appearance, saying she looked 'gaunt' but reassured viewers that she was seeking medical help and was not using weight loss jabs like Ozempic.
The mother of five has been open about her health journey, encouraging fans not to worry as she continues to work with doctors to address any underlying issues.
