DJ Khaled Reveals Slim Jim Transformation with Two Simple Changes
DJ Khaled's Slim Jim Transformation: Two Simple Changes

DJ Khaled has unveiled his remarkable slimmed-down physique, crediting his "amazing" weight loss to two simple lifestyle adjustments. The 50-year-old rapper and producer from New Orleans was the subject of a video shared to X documenting his striking transformation.

Family Moment and New Nickname

Accompanied by his family, the clip showed DJ Khaled calling himself "Slim Jim" on Mother's Day (May 10) – alongside a shirtless photograph of the chart-topping star prior to shedding the pounds. Khaled - born Khaled Mohammed Khaled in 1975 - was also pictured adopting various poses to highlight his dramatically reduced waistline. He added: "I gotta go buy whole new clothes."

Two Key Lifestyle Changes

According to the hit-maker, his dramatic transformation is down to playing golf and completing 15,000 steps daily (around seven miles). Walking proves an excellent choice for most individuals as it is low impact and completely free. Beyond consistently burning calories, it enhances cardiovascular and respiratory fitness. Golf can equally benefit physical wellbeing – particularly when walking the course. The swing motion and continuous walking develop coordination, core and hip rotation, and balance, which Khaled is clearly benefiting from.

Public Reaction

Responding online, one X user said: "Wow. Good for him. Also, the effort to lose weight and put in cardiovascular work, change sedentary habits to lead a healthy life and have a healthy heart is challenging." Another said: "Wow. This is the best gift he could give himself... Now he is looking responsible." A third joked: "DJ Khaled to DJ Salad!" And a fourth X user said: "Big respect to DJ Khaled for the transformation. Consistency, discipline, and commitment really show. The progress is inspiring a lot of people right now."

Longstanding Love for Golf

It is not the first time Khaled has shared his love for golf. Back in 2023, he told Fox: "I want to go pro. The reason why I say that is, if for some reason I don't go pro, I want to be able to play in some real big matches... Golf is a beautiful sport. Golf is like life: It's not easy, but it's beautiful. Every day, you try to perfect [your game]. You're battling yourself to be greater and greater every day on the course. It's a special addiction because just the way you hit the ball, and you get that sound, you want to keep getting that same love every time you hit the ball. I loved it when I was kid, but now it's a full-time thing to me. You have to add golfer beside my name now because I am a true golfer now."
