The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs has publicly revealed the dramatic results of a non-surgical stomach treatment, after being left self-conscious about loose skin following her four pregnancies and a period of stress-related weight loss.
A Journey Back to Confidence
The 35-year-old television personality explained that after welcoming her children—Polly, eight, Ritchie, seven, and two-year-old twins Billy and Millie—she struggled with her body image. This was compounded by recent significant weight loss, which she attributed to stress, including worries over her mother's health after a heart attack and her brother Billy's serious car accident earlier this month.
While a surgical tummy tuck was suggested as a potential solution, Amy decided against invasive surgery. Instead, she opted for a course of non-surgical treatments called 3D ReFirm, which requires no downtime. The programme involves 30-minute sessions combining two key technologies.
The Science Behind the Treatment
The first is 3D Powersculpt, which uses electromagnetic muscle stimulation to create intense contractions, reportedly equivalent to thousands of crunches in one session. The second is 3D Dermaforce, a process that combines microneedling with radiofrequency to boost collagen production and improve skin firmness.
After undergoing the treatment plan over several weeks, Amy was thrilled with the outcome. She shared before-and-after photos on social media, posing in a grey sports bra, and declared she finally "feels like me again". Her transformation was so significant that she cancelled any plans for surgical intervention.
"This treatment is incredible," Amy gushed. "If you've lost weight... or if you're like me and struggled after having kids to feel confident again... My stomach skin went really crazy after having the twins and this stomach treatment is for tightening everything back."
Reclaiming Body Confidence and Health
The results have had a profound impact on her daily life and career. Amy stated she now feels confident enough to wear swimwear again and is preparing to return to TV filming feeling more comfortable in her own skin. This newfound confidence is part of a broader journey where she says she is "starting to love [herself] again".
Her recent weight loss, which sparked concern among fans, led her to realise she was losing muscle mass, not just fat. She is now working with a coach, Jon, on a nutrition and training plan to build muscle back healthily, aiming to gain at least a stone. She is focused on enjoying the festive period without the anxiety of "managing her food".
Addressing the difficult period that contributed to her weight loss, Amy gave an emotional interview, explaining: "I'm going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me... It's the result of pure stress." She also responded to unfair online trolling, asserting her strength after 15 years in the public eye.
Amy Childs' story highlights a growing trend towards non-invasive cosmetic procedures and the complex relationship between life events, stress, and body image for mothers in the spotlight.
