PepsiCo has expanded its urgent recall of Walkers Monster Munch products after certain packs were found to contain undeclared allergens. The Monster Munch Giants Roast Beef 85g packs inside the Walkers Variety Snacks Sharing Box contain wheat (gluten), which is not listed on the outer packaging.
Shoppers were first advised to check products at home over the weekend and have been told to do so again following an update to the health warning. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has updated the recall to include a second best-before date, in addition to the initially affected date of November 21, 2026.
Which Walkers products are affected?
The affected product is the Walkers Variety Snacks Sharing Box, a 655g box containing six snack packs, with batch code 107543. The affected best-before dates are November 21, 2026 and January 16, 2027.
The affected variety packs were sold exclusively at Iceland stores, though the product has now been removed from shelves. According to Allergy UK, the individual bags inside the box are correctly labelled and clearly list wheat as an ingredient. However, the omission on the outer packaging presents a serious risk to customers who depend on the main box's allergen information.
Refund and advice for shoppers
The Food Standards Agency has advised anyone who purchased an affected box and has a wheat or gluten allergy, an intolerance, or coeliac disease not to consume the product. PepsiCo has confirmed that this warning does not apply to a general recall of Walkers multipacks or Monster Munch products.
No other Walkers or PepsiCo products are affected by this labelling error, including the exact same snack bags when sold separately. Customers who have bought the affected box can get a full refund by calling the PepsiCo Consumer Care Line on 0800 274777 or by visiting contact.pepsico.com/walkers. PepsiCo has notified retailers of the recall and alerted the relevant allergy support organisations.
