Boris Johnson's Father Stanley Reveals Cancer Treatment and Surgery
Stanley Johnson Reveals Cancer Treatment and Surgery

Stanley Johnson, the father of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, has disclosed that he recently underwent treatment for cancer, which involved the removal of half of his colon. The 85-year-old former MEP shared a photograph on social media showing him in a hospital bed following the procedure.

Writing about his stay, he said: 'I am enjoying a brief summer break at the Royal Marsden, destination of choice.' After undergoing an operation on Friday, he is now recovering at the Chelsea hospital and told the Daily Mail that his diagnosis came after a routine chest scan.

He recounted: 'The doctor told me, there's nothing wrong with your chest, but there's something odd further down.' Boris is believed to have taken the snap of his father waving happily while sitting in a hospital bed. Stanley added: 'The moral of the story is, scan when you can. It was spotted early and dealt with quickly.'

Previous Allegations

In 2021, two women accused Stanley Johnson of touching them at Conservative party conferences. Senior Tory MP Caroline Nokes claimed he had forcefully smacked her on the backside and made a vulgar comment at the Conservative Party conference in 2003. Political correspondent Ailbhe Rea said he had groped her at the 2019 Conservative conference. Stanley Johnson said after that he had 'no recollection' of either incident.
