Full On Flapjacks recall: 5 varieties pulled over allergens

Full On Flapjacks has issued a recall for five of its snack bar products across England and Wales because of undeclared allergens. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced the recall, warning that anyone unknowingly consuming an allergen could become unwell or require further medical treatment.

Affected Products and Allergens

The recalled products are Bakewell Flapjack, Raspberry Yoghurt Flapjack, White Chocolate Flapjack, Blueberry Swirl Flapjack and Caramel Flapjack. The recall covers all pack sizes and all sell-by dates.

The products contain undeclared soya and wheat (gluten). The Bakewell Flapjack also contains almonds (nuts).

Official Guidance and Next Steps

In a statement, the FSA said: "Full On Flapjacks is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall."

"The business has issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products."

Consumers who have bought any of the affected products and have an allergy to almonds (nuts) or soya, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat containing gluten, or coeliac disease, are advised not to eat them. Instead, they should return the products to the store where they were bought for a full refund. The company issued a "DO NOT EAT" warning on the official notice.
