Aldi Recalls 5 Products Over Salmonella Contamination Risk
Aldi Recalls 5 Products Due to Salmonella Risk

Aldi has issued an urgent recall for five products sold across the United States due to potential salmonella contamination. The affected items, which include frozen pizzas and pork rinds, contain a dry milk powder that may be contaminated with the bacteria.

Recall Details

The recall was initiated following a public health alert issued on April 30 by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The FSIS updated the alert on May 1 to include additional frozen pizzas sold nationwide. The agency noted that further downstream products may be identified as the recall develops.

The issue came to light after the FSIS was notified that multiple establishments had received ingredients formulated with dry milk powder that had been recalled. To date, no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported.
