Trisha Goddard has announced she has “something to celebrate” after receiving positive results from her latest scans. The TV star, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and later given the all-clear, revealed in 2024 that she had been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, describing it as a “life-limiting” illness.
Sharing the update on Instagram, Goddard posted snaps from the hospital and wrote: “No better way to see out 2025 than by having a brain scan, eh? MRI and CAT scans are a regular part of my treatment for metastatic breast cancer.” She added that she received her results about an hour after the scan via a special app, expressing relief at not having to wait anxiously over the New Year.
“The good news for me is that I have something to celebrate tonight!” she wrote, alongside a clip of herself dancing in front of a Christmas tree. She thanked the technicians, radiologists, doctors, and staff at her radiology centre.
Fans were delighted by the news, with one commenting: “Oh, such wonderful news!!! Happy New Year, Trish!!” Another said: “Fantastic news. Happy New Year, and may 2026 bring you much peace and even more healing.”
The update came just days after Goddard turned 68 on December 23. Reflecting on her diagnosis, she noted that metastatic cancer is now reclassified as a “life-limiting” illness due to new drugs and treatments, offering hope to those living with the condition.
