Man loses 14.5 stone with 'ultimate cheat code' snack

A man who once consumed a staggering 7,000 calories daily and spent £300 a week on junk food has undergone a breathtaking transformation, shedding an incredible 14.5 stone.

From Secret Eating to a Life-Changing Decision

Alex Williams, 33, from Roose in South Wales, saw his weight peak at over 30 stone on a relentless diet of pizzas, takeaways, and fast food. His typical day could involve devouring a family-sized Domino's pizza, followed by a trip to McDonald's, only to then hide the evidence and eat a full dinner with his family afterwards.

"I was doing a lot of secret eating," Alex admitted. The physical and mental toll was immense. He became breathless walking upstairs, was ashamed to remove his top in changing rooms, and lived in fear of holidays that might involve a swimming pool. "I hated my body; I hated everything about it," he confessed.

The Turning Point and a New Routine

The cycle began to break after a painful break-up, when a friend persuaded him to join MAN v FAT, a football-based weight loss programme designed specifically for men. This proved to be the catalyst for change, turning his solitary struggle into a team effort.

Alex radically overhauled his diet, ditching fried breakfasts, burgers, and biscuits for nutritious meals centred around steak, salmon, and chicken. His commitment saw his weight plummet from 28st 2lbs to 13st 9lbs.

The 'Ultimate Cheat Code' and Lasting Change

One of his key discoveries in battling sugar cravings was a simple snack: frozen candy-floss grapes. He hailed them as the "ultimate cheat code" to keep his urges for peanut M&Ms, chocolate bars, and crisps at bay.

Now weighing 13st 7lbs, Alex's life is unrecognisable. He plays five football matches a week, trains regularly in the gym, and has the energy to keep up with much younger players. He credits the consistency and team accountability of the MAN v FAT programme for his sustained success, a stark contrast to years of failed yo-yo diets.

"I feel amazing, I feel like a completely different person," Alex said. "It's given me a completely different outlook."
