  2. Submerge them in cold water for 30 minutes to draw out excess starch, then dry them thoroughly using a clean tea towel or kitchen paper.
  3. Coat the chips in a bowl with one to two teaspoons of oil, a pinch of salt, and whatever seasonings take your fancy. Sometimes I like to add paprika and garlic, but other times I keep it simple with salt and pepper. Do not add too much oil, but it will help the chips become crispy in the air fryer.
  4. Heat your air fryer to 180°C, then arrange the chips in a single layer inside the basket.
  5. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket midway through for the best crispiness.
  6. After cooking, taste for seasoning and add additional salt if required. I prefer my homemade chips quite salty, so I frequently add extra salt at the finish.
