There is no denying that Naomi Campbell possesses remarkable genes as she continues to defy aging at 56. The iconic supermodel, who celebrated her birthday on Friday, remains one of the most famous faces in fashion history.
With a career spanning four decades, Campbell rose to prominence in the 1990s alongside fellow supermodels Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford. Yet today, she appears just as flawless as she did in her prime, boasting glass-like skin and a stunning figure.
Campbell is a proud mother to a five-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son, both born via surrogate. As she marks another year, fans wonder: how does she maintain her youthful appearance?
Daily Health Regimen
Campbell prioritizes a health-focused daily routine to sustain her radiance. To boost her immune system, she starts her day with a banana smoothie packed with baobab, collagen, artichoke, and moringa powder, along with vitamin C and pomegranate oil.
She also takes a daily dose of vitamins: zinc, EHB (echinacosides, hydrastine, berberine), liquid vitamin C, humacel, papaya seeds, vitamin D, vitamin B12, turmeric, black seed, probiotics, and three multivitamins. For moments of anxiety or a need for calm, she uses natural lavender oil.
Eating Habits
Campbell often eats only one meal a day, typically at dinner, to feel her best. However, she insists she does not deprive herself. 'I eat my lunch. Lunch is my dinner, because I really only eat once a day,' she said.
On Sundays, her treat day, she allows herself desserts, cakes, and puddings. She avoids dairy and gluten in her cooking and has admitted to fasting for days before fashion shows in the past. 'I eat when I feel like it and I don't starve myself. If I want to do a day of just not eating, I do it and just do water or juice,' she explained.
In a 2015 interview on The Late Late Show, Campbell defended her eating habits, stating, 'It's not a diet to me, I like it. I don't deprive myself of anything.'
Vegetarian Lifestyle
Campbell told Harper's BAZAAR US in 2014 that switching to a vegetarian diet made her feel much better. 'I never thought I would [go vegetarian]. It was just something I decided to do. I don't know how long it's going to last, but I just feel lighter and easier,' she said.
Her private chef, Sean John, revealed to Page Six that Campbell follows an 'ital' diet, a Jamaican term for clean vegetarian eating. 'She has her own stuff at home, but I prepare one really good meal a day, and it's super clean and really healthy,' he said. When dining out, Campbell is particular, often ordering custom dishes not on the menu.
Fitness Routine
To maintain her slim physique, Campbell engages in grueling workouts with a personal trainer or Pilates sessions. She favors low-impact exercises and told W Magazine, 'I don't lift weights. I like working with the resistance of my own body weight.'
