The 28-year-old TikTok star turned country singer took to Instagram on Monday to announce the cancellation of his upcoming concerts, candidly opening up about his 'constant struggle' mentally.
Holder's Heartfelt Announcement
In his statement, Holder wrote: 'This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but I need to cancel my upcoming shows. Over the past several months, I've been in a constant struggle with my mental health in ways that I can no longer ignore.' He added that he had tried to push through and give his all to his music and supporters, but reached his limit and now needs to step back to focus on getting healthy.
Holder acknowledged that despite achieving his career dreams, he still feels lonely and unfulfilled. 'Performing for you guys is the greatest privilege of my life, and this decision was not made lightly. I know many of you made plans, spent money, and were looking forward to these nights together. And I'm deeply sorry for the disappointment this causes,' he expressed.
Support from Fellow Artists and Loved Ones
The decision to cancel his tour was met with an outpouring of support from fans, social media influencers, and fellow country artists. Brandon Lake, a 35-year-old country singer, commented on Holder's post with a heartfelt message: 'Man lifting you up in prayer right now! Holder had scheduled tour dates in May, June, and November. Last month, he released a new song titled 'When No One's Around,' which appears to reference his mental health struggles.
