Jess Impiazzi Babymoon at 27 Weeks After IVF Battle

Reality television personality Jess Impiazzi has proudly showcased her expanding baby bump in a collection of intimate photographs shared on her Instagram account this Thursday. The 36-year-old star, who is currently 27 weeks pregnant, appeared radiant and content as she savoured a tranquil "babymoon" retreat with her partner, Sam Bird, aged 39.

A Cherished Getaway Before Parenthood

The couple indulged in a serene escape at the renowned Champneys Wellness Spa located in Hertfordshire, prioritising quality time together before their family expands to three. Jess emphasised the importance of this "well-needed rest," which included a soothing massage to alleviate the physical demands of pregnancy.

Emotional Caption Reveals Baby's Vigorous Movements

Accompanying the snapshots, Jess penned a heartfelt caption detailing her pregnancy experience. She wrote, "Baby bump is now 27 weeks, our little boy's kicks are getting stronger and stronger (especially at 4/5am,) but it’s great when I feel him because I know he’s safe!" The expectant mother expressed eager anticipation for her upcoming 28-week ultrasound, stating she looks forward to seeing her son on the screen once more.

Overcoming Fertility Challenges

This joyful update follows Jess's recent confirmation of her baby's gender, announced just days after she initially revealed her pregnancy last month. The journey to conception has been arduous, involving years of in vitro fertilisation treatments while simultaneously managing a chronic autoimmune condition, lupus.

In her pregnancy announcement, Jess shared an emotional tribute to Sam, acknowledging his unwavering support throughout every IVF appointment, injection, and hospital visit. She described the process as "not been an easy journey" but expressed profound gratitude for her partner's steadfast presence.

Initial Surprise and Future Hopes

Speaking to Closer magazine, Jess admitted she was initially convinced she was expecting a girl but has embraced the prospect of raising a son. She mused, "Sometimes in life it's bloody hard being a woman and wouldn't it be lovely to have a boy to introduce me to motherhood." Jess added that she hopes to raise him well and, if fortunate enough to have a daughter in the future, her son could protect his sibling.

The star revealed her due date is set for May of this year and expressed openness to expanding their family further with Sam, contingent on their ability to do so.

Medical Hurdles and Resilience

Jess's path to pregnancy has been marked by significant medical obstacles. Diagnosed with lupus in 2023, she later faced the devastating news of having a low ovarian reserve, with an Anti-Müllerian Hormone level of 0.5—comparable to that of a 55-year-old woman. This diagnosis heightened fears of early menopause and potential infertility.

Reflecting on this challenging period, Jess confessed, "I have always wanted to have a family so to be told the chances of having my own children are slim is heartbreaking." Despite these hurdles, she persevered with IVF, drawing strength from a supportive community of individuals who shared similar fertility struggles.

Previous Relationships and New Beginnings

Prior to her relationship with Sam Bird, Jess was romantically involved with former footballer Jermaine Pennant until 2023. Her connection with Sam blossomed shortly thereafter, culminating in this much-anticipated pregnancy.

Throughout her public disclosures about IVF, Jess has emphasised the importance of solidarity and shared experiences, thanking followers for their messages and stories that have helped foster a sense of community during her fertility battle.
