The 36-year-old, who announced he and his wife Sophie Habboo were expecting their first child in June via Instagram, appeared on the Monday, November 17 episode of the popular daytime show. Speaking with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Laing was promoting his new book, Boys Don't Cry, which details his previously hidden battle with bulimia.
He was joined for support by his best friend, Sam Thompson, with the pair's close bond becoming a central topic of conversation. "I'm really scared. It's so intense," he confessed. The reality TV star then shared a surprisingly practical concern, revealing he had just passed his driving test for the second time. He explained this was specifically to be able to drive his wife, Sophie, to the hospital, having previously lost his licence for speeding.
"You don't need a licence to have a baby, but you need a licence to drive a car," he remarked, summing up his pragmatic yet nervous preparation for parenthood.

The interview concluded on a heartwarming note as the show's hosts, along with Sam Thompson, surprised Jamie with a gift for his unborn child. An excited Sam presented a white This Morning baby grow, telling his best friend, "You're one of the loveliest people I know... Enjoy this because I know it's going to be the first thing you put on."
