Three-Legged Cat Hopper Abandoned Outside Battersea Seeks Forever Home
Three-Legged Cat Hopper Abandoned Outside Battersea Seeks Home

Hopper, a three-legged domestic shorthair cat, is desperately seeking a new home after being abandoned outside Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The cat was found alone in a carrier at the charity's gates when she was just two months old.

Discovery and Medical Treatment

Staff at Battersea discovered the tiny kitten and immediately took her in for veterinary examination. According to Battersea's veterinary team, Hopper had a severe leg injury that was likely present from birth. The injury caused her pain and posed a risk of ongoing infections, leading vets to make the difficult decision to amputate the affected leg.

Resilience and Personality

Despite her tough start, Hopper has bounced back from surgery and does not let having three legs hold her back. The playful kitten now spends her days racing around her pen, chasing ping pong balls, and attacking her collection of knitted mice. Battersea describes her as a cuddle-loving companion who “absolutely loves attention” and will happily climb onto a lap for strokes and chin scratches.

Ideal Home Requirements

Battersea is looking for a forever home for Hopper where she can continue to thrive. She would suit a family with children of any age who can provide plenty of playtime, love, and companionship. Due to her three-legged adventures, Hopper will need access to a secure private garden away from busy roads so she can safely explore her surroundings.
