PhysiquePro, a successful boutique gym brand based in Newcastle, is expanding to Ponteland after securing a six-figure investment. The luxury gym and wellness brand, which already operates two sites in Newcastle, will open its new location in the affluent Northumberland town on August 17.
Expansion and Investment
The investment comes from the North East Elevate Fund, managed by FW Capital and part of North East Mayor Kim McGuinness's £100m regional investment framework. The loan will fund the fit-out and launch of the Ponteland gym.
PhysiquePro's first site opened in August 2024 at Bakers Yard in Gosforth, followed by a second location at Great Park in December 2025. The brand offers 24/7 gym floor access, personal training, a health bar, sports therapy, community events, and small group training capped at four people per session.
Founder's Vision
Ryan Bolton, founder of PhysiquePro and a finalist in the Rising Star category at the North East Business Awards, expressed excitement about the expansion. "We're excited to bring the PhysiquePro gym to the affluent area of Ponteland with the official opening set for August 17. It's been designed for those who demand the best in every aspect of their lives, offering an unparalleled luxury fitness experience."
Bolton also highlighted the debut of exclusive four-person group classes as part of a schedule of 40 weekly workouts, thanking FW Capital for their "instrumental support" in enabling a "flawless fit-out."
