Ocean Bottle launches Further Afield autumn collection

Eco-friendly drinkware brand Ocean Bottle has launched Further Afield, a limited-edition range inspired by the changing seasons across the company's Peak collection. The new colours come with the same promise to help clean up the world's oceans with every bottle sold.

Design and performance features

The Peak bottles are made from 90% recycled stainless steel and are designed to be durable and slim enough to fit in a car's cup holder. They keep cold drinks cool for 15 hours, iced drinks for 30 hours, and hot beverages hot for seven hours. The bottles also kept fizzy drinks fizzy, which is not always the case for similar bottles.

The collection features Peak Original and GO! bottles, sized at 710ml, and Peak Brew at 590ml. While the bottles come at a premium price, they are built to last, meaning buyers will not need to look for another one after a couple of years.

Colours and inspiration

The collection takes its name and mood from the pull of late-autumn light over changeable, open terrain. Where colder months often mean hunkering down, Further Afield is built around the opposite idea: that autumn and winter are seasons for pushing further, not retreating – whether that's an extra mile on a familiar walk or a route not yet explored.

The new colours include Canyon Brown, reminiscent of layers of earth and minerals shaped by time, wind and water; Moss Green, which reminds of shaded forest floors giving way to fresh woodland growth; Fjord Teal, inspired by deep, cool water beneath a sky closing in; Desert Ochre, described as dunes at dusk, sunbaked and windswept; and Tundra Green, which evokes salt-swept grasses catching the last of the light.

Environmental impact

Founded in London in 2018, Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 11.4kg of plastic, the equivalent weight of 1,000 plastic bottles, with every purchase. So far, the company has backed the collection of the equivalent of more than two billion plastic bottles.
