A major fire has broken out at an industrial estate in St Albans, producing a thick plume of smoke that is rising above the city and visible over the M25.
Residents urged to stay indoors
Locals have been advised to keep their doors and windows closed and to avoid the area while firefighters tackle the blaze.
Herts Fire & Rescue said: "We are currently responding to an incident in Ventura Park, Old Parkbury Lane, Colney Street, St Albans."
