GB News Pauses for Trump Landing Amid Health Fears

GB News presenters Ellie Costello and Stephen Dixon were forced to halt Thursday's programme following a breaking news update from the United States. The duo turned their attention to Donald Trump, confirming that the President had officially landed in the US after traveling to France for the G7 summit, where he signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran. This development sparked analysis of his health due to his "rambling" speech.

Trump Returns to Joint Base Andrews

Displaying new footage from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, Trump could be seen exiting his plane and walking along the air strip. His return came less than 24 hours after he made a lengthy speech at the summit on Wednesday. "On Sunday, we reached an agreement with Iran that achieves everything we set out to accomplish, everything and much more, ending the current conflict, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and preventing Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon, that's what it was all about," Trump told reporters.

Trump's Warning to Iran

The President added that the US would "bomb the hell" out of Iran if they did not abide by the terms of the agreement. In a later post on Truth Social, he hailed his attendance at the G7 summit as a "great success." The press conference came after Trump and Iran's Masoud Pezeshkian signed a "historic" 14-point agreement to end the war, with a commitment to achieve a final deal within a maximum of 60 days.

Analysis of Trump's Speech

In Wednesday's programme, GB News presenter Bev Turner analyzed Trump's address, calling his delivery "strange" and "quite rambling in parts." "He's clearly suffering from a head cold, he's clearly very tired," she noted. "Some parts of this speech were very awkward. You could see the faces of [US Secretary of Commerce Howard] Lutnick and [US Secretary of State Marco] Rubio in the background there. At times they did look like they were trying to suppress perhaps a rising panic that he was going off script a little bit too much. But, on the whole, I think they obviously feel this has been a successful agreement."
